Hi Guys,
My name is Dave and I live at Twizel New Zealand which is situated 40mins from our largest mountain which is Mt Cook. I work for Transfield Services Ltd which contracts to Meridian Energy Ltd which is the largest producer of electricity in New Zealand. On our property my wife Claire runs 2x2 bedroom fully self contained motel units which trade under the name "Mackenzie Units"
The vehicle I drive is a 2002 Holden SV8 Ute. It has the 5.7lt Gen3 motor fitted, which has been cammed, ported heads, 92mm Fast manifold & throttle body and fuel rails, 4l65E fully strengthened gearbox with 6 pinion gears, 3.91 diff, 25% underdrive pulley, OTR, 1 3/4" Pacemaker headers & twin 3" exhaust, 3500 stall converter. It makes 295rwkw (396rwhp). This ute is a street/strip driven which we drive to and from drag meetings which are 200miles away.
Best time at strip for 1/4mile so far is; 11.610 @ 118.52mph.
Am looking forward to communicating with LS1 vehicle owners and share your interests and ideas with me.
Cheers,
Dave.

Welcome! I have to respond to another couple with the same names as ours, Dave & Claire.
We sure enjoyed our trip to New Zealand. What a beautiful country!! The steering wheel on the right was really an experience though. I'm glad we didn't get in an accident. We did see a car show along the waterfront in Auckland. Enjoyed the variety, and all the V8 cars that you Kiwis own.
Our visit was only on the north side and our travels were the typical Auckland and driving down to Lake Taupo. Here we are in Rotorua.
