Pretty general question man, there's a ton of factors....but 806's are older perimeter bolt heads....The 317 truck heads are similar LS6's but with larger combustion chambers...Id say your best bet is to sell the 806's and send the 317's out to get worked...depending on what intake your running and the type of trans id say 400-425 to the wheels is attainable.

if the 6.0 ran when you bought it, I wouldnt mess with freshening anything. Just install the cam, matching pushrods & valve springs.Id just get the 317s milled to bump your compression up. LQ4s only have 9.4:1. Get the milled enough to get to 11.1-11.4:1 compression.
With a good cam, 11.1CR, headers & catback, & a LS6 intake, and a dynotune, you would be over 400rwhp.

Im running a stock LQ9 6.0 (77k on it) which come with 10.1 compression from the factory. All I did was install a baby LS6 cam, LS6 springs, LS6 intake, cheap pacesetter headers & a slp catback and it put down 380/380 with the 3.90 gears. Runs great and drives 100% stock.

Yea around the same power, little more torque and of course the motors a little heavier
