Default 93 Camaro

New to this forum and first time posting.

Been having lots of problems with my car lately and am getting really frustrated. Just had the VATS bypassed last week, cause car wouldnt start due to that. Now ignition got stuck in running position, which made it that the turn signals wouldnt work, radio etc. Couldnt turn car off and had to remove ignition fuse and disconnect the battery.
So my question is, if I exchange the ignition tumbler, after bypassing the VATS, can I go with just any ignition tumbler with a regular key or do I still need my key with the chip in to get it started again?
Any kind of help would be appreciated!!
