New guy. Wanted to introduce myself. I recently found my first car, 65 impala, and I am in the process of purchasing it back after 20 years. The original engine is gone and now has a 327, but it is not what I want. I was thinking a 396 or 502 until I came across this site. Superdaves thread on his 65 is very interesting and is making me consider an LS 1. I am sure I will have a lot of ?'s and look forward to talking with you all.

Welcome! That's amazing you were able to find your 65 Impala after 20 years. I wish I could do the same with my 72 Skylark, but I know where that ended up, in the junk yard after I side swiped a guard rail on black ice when I was 18 years old haha. Keep us updated on your progress and if you do go with an LS1.
