Default New but old

I'm new to the forum and the LS series of motors.
I've been fooling around with cars since a teenager. I took a long break due to marriage, kids, career. You know the drill
I currently have a '63 corvette convertible which is a great car. It looks like it's pristine but it's a driver. Most numbers match but I'm not hung up on trying to get it perfect. It's a bottomless money pit if you get into that.

My other car is a '36 Ford 5 w coupe. I just removed and sold the BBC and 400 Turbo. I bought an LS2 crate motor and 4L60e trans. I plan on making the first trial fit this weekend. If anyone has done this with a pre-war Ford, I'd be interested in hearing your thoughts on what I can encounter with the install. I know I have to run an electric fan as a puller. Anything else I should be aware of?

Here are some pics of my cars.

Good luck Couper, nice '36. I have a 40 Coupe project going, using an LM7. Shopped quite a while then ended up I used pricey S&P 360/15 swivel thermostat housing to get outlet pointing the correct direction. Lower hose from Autozone DAYCO length code E, PN 71317. I'm using Corvette assessory drive and KWIK alt/AC mounts for extra clearence, upper hose DAYCO length code D PN 71500 worked great for driver side radiator outlet (Walker Radiator w/ Cooling Components fan/shroud). My harness was made by TPIS (Chaska Mn) with extra length so I could mount PCM under passenger's seat, with harness going through floor and up along trans bellhousing area to the rear of engine area, - worked well. Due to tight and narrow confines of '40 hood I had to run air filter / MAF straight out from TB, not sure how well that will work but have few options for that area. Best Regards, -JG

Thanks Gents!
JG, you've provided some great info. I was wondering what I would do for that thermostat issue. Thanks for the tips on rad hoses too. I'm in Denver until Wednesday but I'll be back at it this weekend. Had to modify steering and brake lines too. Thanks again.
