New addition to the LS1 Family
I recently purchased a 2002 Firehawk with the T56 transmission, T Top, special SLP floor mats, and all the other fun stuff these cars come with. IT has 45K miles on it and I really enjoy driving it.
I also have owned a '78 Trans Am Y88( gold) Trans Am with a Pontiac 400, TH350, T Tops, WS6

I have been restoring, driving, cruising, and racing my '78 for the last 4 years. I recently completed an engine swap- I removed the number matching engine from my Trans Am so I could build a motor and then drive without fear of blowing up the factory 36 YO GM production line motor.
My 13yo son and I had a blast with that project and I took the opportunity to clean out the engine bay and did some painting and cleaning installed new parts where they were needed and learned a lot in the process.
Now, I get to start over again with the new technology in the Firehawk!
And for some old school....

The car did great, the driver needs some work. I was very pleased though, my time on the course was a 69.23 and the best, the pro's were getting 62, and the best street cars there were getting 65's. This was my first time doing this too. I also had the Trans Am at the drag stip a few weeks before and it was turning 14 sec in the 1/4 in 95 degrees with 65% humidity. My first time doing that too! What a blast!
