2001 4 cylinder ford expedition
so recently i had my dad take a look at my car after my radio stopped working, he solved the problem by switching the fuses and everything was fine until he said i should take advantage and change my battery for a new one his buddy gave him. After he changed it i tried turning it on and it wont start. turns out he put it on backwards and now the truck wont start. the only way he gets it running is by sparking http://ts3.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.6080...64122&pid=15.1 that with some pliers. sorry for not being very car smart. plz help. thanks you anything is helpful at this point. http://ts3.mm.bing.net/th?id=HN.6080...64122&pid=15.1

swap it with ls1, lol jk welcome!!!
but in all seriousness, it was a bad move by starting with backwards connections... Perhaps the starter or alternator got fried... i would also look into the electrical system... good luck

He probably blew the battery or ecm fuse. do you get any idiot lights on the dash when you turn the key to the on position? If not, check the underhood fuses for a battery fuse or a fusible link.
