New here, sort of! This time with a 'vert
I'm Ray, big time automotive enthusiast, amateur auto crosser and weekend mechanic. In the past I've owned a couple of F bodies (I even have one for sale, check out the link below!), a turbo Miata, and a few 240sx's but have always lusted over the last gen Trans Am. The day finally came, and honestly, I have NO IDEA why I didn't act sooner! This car is nuts!
I saw a dealership with an MBM Trans Am convertible with a T56 and got all giddy. If the car had been any other color, I probably would not have cared, but since I really love the color, and have never seen another one in a convertible with a manual transmission, I knew I had to act.
I ended up bringing her home on a fair deal.
The car is a one owner vehicle with 109,000 miles. The previous owner bought it around the age of 61 and died this past February. It is mint. Always garage kept, every panel is straight, the top is still fuzzy soft, none of the lettering on any of the buttons has worn off, no rust anywhere, is all original, and even came with the FSM's in the trunk and a bit of service records. The leather is still supple, metallic paint is incredibly shiny, and the car rides and drives like a dream. Its as close to new as I was ever going to get.
I'm looking forwards to enjoying the car as it is. I might add a catback exhaust for a little grunt (its pretty crazy how quiet it is as it sneaks up to 90mph!) and potentially a power tune from HP tuners, but otherwise, I'm leaving her alone and am going to enjoy as it was built and continue taking excellent care of her.
I'm looking forwards to spending time here, learning about the car, and getting to know you folks.
Now, lets get to why you're really here- picture time!

In the case you're interested in a nice third gen:

They made a total of 157 Medium Blue Metallic Trans Ams. Only 26 were factory 6-speed cars.
Is there truth to that? I'm trying like crazy to find out if this is hear say or legitimate stats.
