LS all the way.

Had one with a 400 SBC then swapped to a LS1. The SBC ran 11.20 but was a pig to drive on the and LS1 made more rwhp and drove like a stock car.

Pics of the result.

How hard was the swap 1-10? What kind of motor mounts did you need to use were you able to use the stock 240 mounts or did you have to fab some

I will try to find some photos of the cross member. we made a cradle the motor sat into from tube steel so the sump could sit in and low.

We (a fabricator bloke I know, all credit to him for this bit) done this by making a jig from a factory cross member and cutting, grafting and gusseting the cradle into it. Factory engine brackets where used with vertical straight through type mounts between the factory LS1 brackets and the cross member - It makes sense in my head, not sure about others. When I find pics it will make sense

1 - 10 is hard to say. 2/10 for the project technical details as it was simple stuff into an old car, however mounting the motor was a solid 8/10.

So would you say the LS swap would be better than say a RB26 or a 2JZ swap probably cheaper right?

I prefer the LS but I wouldn't rule out a 2JZ either. As for cost, I don't know what you pay for the motors over there but here in Australia LS would be I think.

I had a look for pics of cross member and cannot find any Will post if I come across them.
