Aggie here, hi y'all!
Hi everybody,
My name's Cory and I'm a PhD student in genetics at Texas A&M University. I drive a 96' Chevy Silverado C1500, so I may be a little out of place here but this forum has by far the most mention of the 4l60e transmission. And mine took a big dump last week and needs a rebuild (bad band and/or 3-4 clutches). So I figured it would make sense for me to join the most 4l60e'st forum on the Internet. I've already read a ton of threads here and hope to learn from all of y'all.

Hi coolmanvette75,
I've read of people doing that, but I've never rebuilt a transmission before so I'll be happy with just my 4l60e working.
I've driven by the A&M CC campus. It's a pretty area. My grandparents have a beach house in Rockport and we'd visit CC to see the USS Lexington and the state aquarium.
