Default Hello fellow gearheads

Hello to all, I'm new to the Chevy ls world I'm looking to build a motor hoping to get some ideas on the best platform to start my build. I'm looking to produce between 500- 600hp, I'm not sure what frame I will be using maybe a 90's volvo I'm looking for a engine that can be had for reasonably cheap maybe even junkyard.

I'm not a complete stranger to engine work or performance I have built a handful of turbo 4 cly engines.
But building these 4 cylinder semi-high horse motors is very expensive I currently own a 1984 volvo 240 turbo fully built, balanced, bored, stroked from 2.3 liter to 2.8 supporting mods galore This motor is putting 470Whp down on a heavily worked 8 valve head but I have about
$ 10,000 including motor and the t5 Trans, intercooler,, water methanol injection, WG's, BOV and all the other mods as you may know go on & on the list truly exhausts me. So I'll stop there.

So there's a little about my me, I'm starting fresh here what motor should I put on my stand?
