Hay guys and gals,
MY names Tanner, from a small college town in Wisconsin and 23 years young. I have been building cars for roughly 7 years, and im new to domestic power plants. I built this 664AWHP DSM over the past 5 years, but with most 4 cyl engines at that much power, it didnt run long between rebuilds. So i parted it out and am excited for some reliable power from the LS series engines in the new Silvia 13 project. Currently driving a 06 Nissan fairlady z33 during nicer months. I look forward to meeting you guys, learning about this engine platform and hopefully contributing back. Heres a few photos of the previous build.
Regards,
Tanner

What's up. Nice clean build ya have there. I have definitely had my fair share of partying at Eau Claire and Stout back in the day ( 32 now ) didn't go to college there, just drank lol. You ever hit up rock falls raceway?

Thank you for the kind words, and yes! Rock falls is one of the more 'rough' tracks I have run. Ran a few low 10's before grenading the transfer case. Good news though, as of this fall, Rock Falls is under new ownership and it sounds like they are revamping the whole track. Looking forward to running there next year.

I havnt been to power cruise but I was able to make it to Proving grounds this spring. The DSM was gone at that point but thats also where I found motivation to build another race car. After watching a few LS S13/14 Nissan's and a 427cu Rx7 slide around the drift track, I couldnt resist building RWD v8 monster. Also, beautiful car you have there! WS6? (again, new to the scene, dont know much about anything domestic really haha)

Thanks much. No it's not a ws6, just a base model Trans Am. The ws6 will have the ram air hood like the black one in the picture below. If ya get a chance I would absolutely recommend power cruise. It's a blast.
What did ya have in mind of building?

gotch ya, thanks for the info! I picked up a 93 240sx hatch, stripped the interior, caged it and getting ready for an LM7 mild build. Planning on going with flat top pistons, lightly ported and polished heads, LS1 intake manifold, and some sort of cam. (still clueless of which to choose) much more work to come down the road, but id like to get it running as soon as possible.
(sorry for the garbage cell phone pics)

Im concentrating on drift for the suspension and handling build but im sure it will see the drag strip a few times. Im pretty excited to see how the power to weight ratio feels with a LS under the hood!
