Swapping a 5.3 into a volvo 240 I have been an Automotive enthusiast for all my adult life. I'm 40 and attempting my First Engine Swap. I have "figured out" how to do a lot of things in my years but I am not a technician. I work with a group of guys that are ASE trained techs so I have an ear to bend when Im stuck but its a different skill set when you are performing a swap.
Anyway...
I plan to post pictures as I go. Here are the specifics:
1990 Volvo. It ran so poorly it was destined for scrap but the body was actually quite nice. save the wired-on incorrect grille.

So I bought this Envoy and got to work:

Some friends pulled the envoy powertrain for me and then me and another friend pulled the Volvo powertrain.

I am in the process of putting a slew of new parts in the motor and hope to begin assembly next weekend.
