Hello Hey all, new here. I'm not an LS owner but I hope to be. I've been on the site a few times to get info as I'm trying to research the direction I want to go. I have a 53 Chevy that I'm restoring but has no engine as I sold the 307 that someone had put in it. After initial research I'm thinking 5.3l or 6.0l with a 4L80e trans. The more I read the more options I find.

Yeah I'm leaning more toward a 5.3l. I'm looking to try to get it around 350-400 hp. I keep reading horror stories about the 4l60e, that's why I was looking more toward a 4l80e. I'm still in the research phase though.
