Default New from Southern IN

I joined this forum to get some experienced insight on a project I'm planning: I have a '94 Silverado K1500 with a TBI 5.7L that has 215K. Currently, the condition the motor is in, it needs to be removed and stripped apart to fix the problems; so, I've decided to just swap in an LS.

After doing a bit of asking around, I have potential access to a 6.0L (at moderate cost OF COURSE.) Based on what I've read however, I'm not sure if I want to use the 6.0 due to a cost/power ratio of the engine itself (fuel economy=minimal power increase from the 5.3.) So what are the opinions; should I use the 6.0 or should I look for a 5.3? I know there are upgrades/tunes which can be done to the 6.0, but would I be better off doing those to a 5.3 instead?

either way your gonna spend about the same..... but i think youd be happier spending a lil extra up front and getting the 6.0, down the road you can do cam, intake, headers, tune and be making some gooood power for cheap!
