I remember my dad having a brand new White Firebird Formula back in 1997. It left a huge impression on a 7 year old boy who's favorite game was Gran Turismo.
He'd tell me stories of how his dad had a Gold Metallic Firebird (possibly a Formula) back in the 70's when he was a kid, too!
I'd sit in the garage and pretend i was helping while he'd be building another SBC 383 Stroker for some other random project.
He made me into a gearhead and a self-sufficient (own-car/friend's cars) mechanic.
But, i never could afford one of my own.
As of this past Friday.. I finally fulfilled a dream and joined ranks with the LS1 Owners.
