Default Hello, I'm new to the LS family

Hi everybody, A few months ago I picked up an all original 1982 Buick Regal Limited with the rare 4.3L Diesel V6 engine. I'm not using that engine.

I debated to put an 86-87 Buick V6 Turbo in it but decided to go LS.

I hope to gain some good info here.

Thanks!

I'm doing my 3rd G-body right now if you need some pointers.

New Carlisle (north of Dayton)

That's awesome, yes this is my first go at this and any advice would be appreciated.

I got the LS on the stand last night and starting checking it out. I confirmed it is a GEN IV LS 4.8L LY2 - Has 482 Crank & 243 Heads. Date CODE H188 Block casting 12576177

Where does someone get all of the accessories on the front of the motor? Mine was stripped of everything except the water pump. Balance is even gone.
I want PS & AC on mine.

I'm in Middletown just south of dayton.

Your LY2 may pose a few challenges swapping it in with it being a 58x. I have a couple of other 4.8s laying around we might be able to work something out on.

I also have a bunch of accessories and stuff I've been trying to sell.

Send me a text. 513 292 7126.
