Default Soooooo, I have to say Hello!

Hello all! Been lurking on and off for a while.

Next week my 2004 Jeep LJ gets a transplant. Being an HP junkie and against the advice of the installer, it's getting an LS3 w/4L80 trans. It'll get more as I break stuff with its new found power.

I'm keeping the exterior and interior as stock as possible. The vehicle electronics will be integrated so all gauges will work. Although the Loudmouth II might give it away....LOL

I'll post as this project moves forward.

Can you say sleeper?

LOL, Well, it does have a Dana 44 diff and the driveshaft is being upgraded with larger u-joints, shaft and yokes. I never go off-road and couldn't tell you if the thing even goes into 4wd. The front end is the weakest link with the Dana 30.

I'm not particularly hard on equipment. While other sport bike riders have a hard time getting 4k out of a rear tire, I've gone 9k.

I don't do holeshots, just apply power as needed...................LOL

And no Loudmouth muffler. Even with 3 inch inlet and outlet it has a 2.5 inch core.

If you don't go hard offroad, I would not worry about the Dana 30! I ran one for years without incident. As long as you know it's limitations, you can make it last.
