Been lurking for a bit. Found some very useful info on some LS repairs I had to do a while back. About to do my first build so I figured I better make it official.
I live in Utah, been an armchair hot-rod lover all of my life final going to do it. I've dabbled a bit here and there over the years.
ALWAYS fixed my own rides, because, poverty dictates. Grew up working in a fab shop and machine shop so I'm not without skills.
Current project is a 1940 Chevrolet CK 1/2 ton pick up truck that will remain in it's patina.
I've been enamored with this look for over 20 years when I saw a 1940 Ford Deluxe Coupe that had received this treatment. If I'd dropped everything and went to work right then I'd have been an industry pioneer. Now I guess it makes me a follower. Oh well.
Looking forward to your input on building this engine with what I've got.
