New Georgia Member Hey y'all. Just so I can go ahead and throw this out there...I am new to mechanicing on Chevy motors. With the exception to my son's old S10 (now, my 10), I haven't had to work on the Chevy motors. Long story short, I will need a lot of hand holding and explanations as we go...i will, however, try to learn before I ask.
Referring back to the S10 above....It is a 99 standard cab 2.2L with the 4L60E (I have rebuilt this transmission 3 times). It is a SLOW POKE!!!
I have recently been given a 2007 4.8L - I have no idea where this ranks as an LS or LT engine (came out of a 1500 truck), but I feel pretty sure that y'all can help me out.
I plan on tearing the engine down and rebuilding it back up right. I don't necessarily plan on having it machined, but just about anything else. In the end, I would really like to run a twin turbo set up (I know nothing about turbo's either - but I am sure someone can help).
The plan is 700+hp for a street/strip S10....I want to know what all internal items that I need to look at are and what would be the best way to go.

Thanks NOS...I know about the search feature and will be using it. I just figured I would throw the general idea out there in my introduction post to see if anyone felt like adding anything as I go.
