Hes super easy to talk to , no matter your knowledge level he doesnt make you feel small at all takes time to explain things . I'm glad I went this route . I've dealt with so many condescending shop owners on my last build I wanted to be sure this one . But typical shop BS here my quote was 28hrs labor for install 6 hrs for tune plus hp tuners credit x2. Shop rate 140/hr , tuner rate 150/hr . Brought extras like motor mounts , charged me 5 hrs extra , 2.25 hrs for headers and y pipe install . Frustration is mounting fast .

Dan,

Whats happening man....good to see things coming together for you finally (and the customs nightmare is behind us....LOL)

Really discouraging to hear about the shop taking advantage of the situation. In particular the motor mount charge is obscene.....they have the engine down to a shortblock and are trying to claim it took them 5 hours to swap motor mounts??

I've never wrenched on a 4th gen and Im not intimately familiar with the cradle / engine mount scenario (Im sure others can chime in here) but it would seem silly they couldn't just lift the shortblock a bit with a cherry picker and swap the mounts in under one hour taking their time.

If others could confirm its that easy I would really give them hell over that charge which I assume is $140 X 5 hours.....that's crazy.

Anyway.....Im looking forward to your results.....keep me posted and feel free to reach out if you need anything

Cheers,
Tony
