Default New to LS1 Tech - Restomodding a 65 Vette with a GenV LT1

Hi everyone,

I've been slowly working on restomodding my 65 corvette to include an SRIII chassis with C7 suspension, a T-56 trans, and (the reason I'm here) a GenV LT1 that I took out of a 2016 Camaro SS that had been rear ended with only 6,600 miles on it.

By "slowly", I mean I've been doing a few things here and there on the new chassis on weekends, while the donor car mostly sits in storage even though it's driveable.

But last weekend, I made some good progress, and got the motor and transmission mounted onto the chassis.

My next task is to mod the water pump housing to clear the chassis where the passenger side upper control arm attaches. Then, it'll be time to mount the rest of the accessories, wire it up, and see if I can get it to start.

I've found this site incredibly helpful, and usually find what I'm looking for by searching.

But as I get closer to startup, I'm sure I'll have a bazillion questions.

So I look forward to sharing the journey with you, and asking a bazillion questions! And maybe providing a few answers as I learn things along the way.

Cheers!

John
