BE GENTLE, my first LS1🤫
on mamas pots and pans. 100% original 2,600 miles. Stored climate controlled under the SLP cover, driven just enough to keep the parts lubricated. Never raced. Collector owned. Trickle charger, PH testing on the coolant, fluids rotated. Washed twice in 17 years. I’m not a tech guy by any stretch, but actually a hold over from the 70’s and 80’s. Old muscle, gladly traded away for an awesome wife and two super kids. Said when I retired, I’d pull the trigger on that last bullet in my gun. But did I hold it to my head?? Why did I go tech instead of old muscle? I swear I was a sneeze away from pulling the trigger on Chevelles, Camaros and corvettes, which all I played with in the old west. Maybe at 56 I have enough learnin’ left in the ole cobwebs. I’ll be looking for help for sure. As a great philosopher once said; “LUCY! You have some splaining to do!” Greetings to all.

are you going to be able to not modify it?
whatever you paid for it... imo it was worth it. i'd do the same if i was up for a new car.
If you love and plan to keep, mod away to your liking. I'd keep all original parts though. It's very hard to find an Fbody not beat up. You did good. Enjoy the ride.

But hes hopping onto some flat as F, "bucket" factory seats that arent comfortale and let you slide all over arournd basic turns. It sounds good, but drones on the highway. No power windows or locks....no radio. Not a travesty but my factory Monsoon sounds good to me and i can listen to my Sirius until my heart is content no matter how long the drive. His Hotchkiss suspension rides pretty good, but NOTHING like the BMR/Koni setup in my Bird. Then there is sound insulation, decent carpeting.... It's fun to be in his car. It's fun AND NICE to be in mine. And when it comes time to push them - straights or curves - that 4 speed, cammed LT-1 can't keep up with me, nor can those lowering leafs etc make his car handle as well or with the confidence of mine.
I bought a bone stock, 2002 WS6 because when it came time to finally buy a toy, I wanted something that I could just get in and drive. You can find good muscle cars for around the same price. But for an all around fast, fun, COMFORTABLE car you can not beat a $20K 4th gen. And people do ask me "why didnt you buy X, Y or Z.?" referring to muscle cars. Cuz I love the way this looks and it is a world better in most ways. I'm not in a position to WORK on a car, I barely have the opportunity to drive mine. But when I do have time I want to just enjoy, worry-free. I know that if I bought somethign else it would still be sitting in my garage untouched waiting for me to get it to where I wanted it to be to drive it. I'd buy my now 20 year time capsule all over again. Chevelles and blown fox bodies and 1st gen camaros that friends pint out allof the time be damned. YOU buy that car, and I'll pay you to drive it. Me, I'm gonna buy something bine stock that I can hop in and enjoy right now.
Congrats.
