New to LS engines but learning.
I am putting an LM7 in a 2012 Colorado.
Complete rebuild on engine standard bore standard rod bearings standard mains. I’m running flat top pistons 862 heads and considering San intake upgrade. Looking to make 400 whp. I’m not sure what cam I want to go with?! I’m thinking a 223/227 600 600 lift on a 113. This is based on some info from Bart at Hi Tech Motorsports video on YouTube. Like I said newbie LOL. I’m not sure if I’ll need to change the valve springs and or pushrods either. Sorry if this post is in the wrong place but any help would be great.

Welcome to LS1Tech! Re-post the question over in our Gen3 Internal section of the forum. You’ll get plenty of help over there, from some smart folks.

I assume you're from Houston given your username. This sounds like a Killer build! We will be waiting for the 1320 or Cars Across TX feature on YouTube!

I’m in NC. Houston is my last name. Just put a 65’ Mustang into paint. First ground up build hundreds of hours of metal work. Shaved drip rails, handmade metal front valance etc.....
Yeah yeah I know it’s a mustang 😂

Wow! That sounds like a labor of love!!! Stangs are cool, there's a bunch in my family. My dad WAS going to will me his 65 until I showed up with the TA! His first words when he saw it was, That's nice... Guess you don't need the mustang!" Lol does yours have an LS so you can post pics here???

Haven’t put a motor in it yet. Will most likely put a 347 in. I like everything Mopar, Chevy, Ford. Never been able to smell the difference in Ford and Chevy burnt rubber. 😂
Big fan of the LS engineering though.
