Default First turbo LS build, 87 Monte carlo

Hey guys, new guy from boston. I just dropped in a 2005 gen 3 (gen 4 internals) 6.0 lq4 in my 87 monte carlo. 317 heads, btr stage 2 turbo cam, 660 springs, rockers with grunion upgrade, sbe refreshed with new bearings, rings gapped .026 top, .028 bottom. I'm running a built 200r4 trans with a moser 9", 390 gears, vs racing billet 80 mm turbo, 1.32 ar, 80 lb injectors, holley hp engine management. My goal is to put down ~750ish to the ground. I dont see too many threads with 200r4 transmissions and rear end gear talk. I was hoping someone can point me in the direction where i can get some help with that. Its 90% street, will see occasional track time. is 3.90 too much gear with a turbo and a 200r4? running a pro torque tcc, 3000 stall. Thank again!

Hey dude! I bought a 200-4r to rebuild and put behind my 5.7L LS1. If you're looking for a kit or parts to beef up that trans, give Art Carr a call. If you look at almost any Hot Rod magazine worth their salt, they talk about Art whenever they mention the 200-4r. His website is https://www.cpttransmission.com/index.htm but if you're building it yourself and it's your first time, call them instead of shopping online. When I was looking for kits I gave them a call and after talking with the sales lady for a bit, she just asked, "Would you like to talk to Art about your build?" He'll ask you about your application and other parts you have as well, and he can either build you a bulletproof one or sell you the parts to do it yourself. Really good guy and I'd recommend anyone go that route over a 350/400/700R4. Best of luck and I'll keep an eye out for your build thread.
