EV vs Crate Engine and Intro Hello! New to the forum, but very much not-new to the LS engine world. With a team at Georgia Tech (Wreck Racing) I've helped swap an LM7 into a 1986 BMW 5 Series along with a host of other modifications. I've also built a Factory Five 818 kit car, although that uses a Subaru WRX engine (wish it had an LS...).
I'm now working on making EV conversions way more attainable to the average car person (similar to how crate engine kits make engine retrofits easier). We're looking for a lot more feedback from people that are more in tune with the traditional engine swap/retrofit world and get a take on what opinions there are on EV systems. I made a super short survey, but any feedback on this thread or to my email (in the survey) would be super appreciated!
