Default New guy rebuilding an LS7

I'm new a member here but not to LS engines. I have an '08 Z06 with an LS7, found some glitter in the oil and am in the process of rebuilding it. Working with Tony Mamo and excited to get it back on track!

Did it drop a valve? What was the glitter from? Valves, guides or Rods? Any idea?

Not sure yet. No dropped valve, but lead, copper, iron, and titanium have been high the last few oil analysis. My guess is bearings but haven't gotten the engine out yet.

Best of luck.. I just installed a GM Crate LS7 and I am addressing the heads now with a set of aftermarket LME ported brodix.
