I have an 03 Escalade with
Lq9. I had a low oil pressure panic attack which lead me to install a new oil pump so I went with melling hi flow and figured might as well throw a cam in there while I’m at it so in went the elgin sloppy stage 2 cam, then new water pump, then new 317 heads new valves, and sleeves, ls7 lifters,1218s,melling push rods,melling rockers full cage, mls 7 layer head gasks, spark plugs. And it ended up being the oil pressure sensor.. that’s fine because she has the chop now!! Love it. Cut the rusty muffler out and welded straight pipe after cats. Got it tuned in Arvada everything is good.
recently acquired a Vortech V1 ti trim.. 💀 and been getting all the parts to install it and have a question. Should I install this adapter to pull my oil feed to supply the v1 from the oil pressure sensor location? Or can I get oil supply from another spot on the block; like that plug on driver side kind of 3 o’clock to the oil pump? Driver side hex plug 🔌

Almost there. Need a new belt I will measure with string. Decided to adapt to 4an line from oil pressure sensor switch location on the top back of block for oil supply then will tee to new sensor and v1 oil supply. Oil drain will go to new front cover. New question.. can I tap into the intake manifold for my vacuum line for bov and boost gauge on what seems to be the perfect vacuum port right on top of the intake?? It looks like it was meant to be! Just break off that tab? And boom I havea port?
