NJGB Hello Hey Fellas,
First post, been reading on here for a few years as I gained interest and then parts and eventually a car to put it in. Finally got the motor back from the machine shop the other day and will have some questions about that as reassembly proceeds and the build picks up. I am building a Volvo 240 wagon for a street strip car with my Dad, I have had many turbo cars and still have a turbo rx7, turbo Cummins dually, two turbo Volvo wagons one AWD and another 240 wagon I added a big turbo and 5spd to the original redblock 4cyl I also have an 84 Vette that I love to cruise with my Dad in his 1974 Vette. So this project combines my love of Volvos, turbos and classic American V8 goodness. My dad has more V8 experience and did some drag racing back in his day and is helping with support but I am taking the lead on the build.
Hoping to learn a lot and share our progress from the engine assembly, drivetrain development, tuning and race results. I'm going to post a question or two in a technical section in a while but for now here are some pics!

haha went totally different direction with this project, ended up built for turbo but running NA with a Holley 750 on a single plane intake for now with MSD 6014, super simple. Rebuilt the LQ4 by myself after maching, Sloppy Stage 2 Cam, Pac 1216 Valve Springs, 4l80E with fully manual WInter Sidewinder shifter, BTR 2800 stall converter, self built driveshaft and self made stainless sidepipes and might try something silly like a blow through setup next season. I dont have a build thread on here rather on Turbobricks Volvo forum but wanted to share this exciting milestone today. Thanks for all the good info on this site, hope everyone is enjoying their builds!
