Hello from down under…where contrary to popular northern hemisphere myths we don’t walk upside down nor herd kangaroos in the streets. Well…not every day at least…!
I’m here for LS1 swaps. In the next near whatever I plan to retire or lessen work hours. One of my projects will be a rat rod style low budget chrome and performance mods free completion of this…
Supposedly 1928 Chevrolet with Mitsubishi L300 front suspension and 4 bar coil over HiLux rear suspension and axle..
…unfinished project by others unknown.
Hoping to power it with this ugliness… LS1 from a 2001 Holden Calais…supposedly 136k kilometres young. 4L60E supposedly rebuilt.
Once my projects shed with vehicle hoist is completed I should be able to confirm the supposed things above and get on with all the fiddly stuff.
Photos came through fine here. Good luck with your project.
I have a friend in SA near Adelaide who is heavy into old rides. He just brought home a Torana about two years ago.

Hey Lance...thank you for the 'probing' observation...!
But seriously...'Wrong side' is so dependent on context and/or perception. My daily drive is a VW Amarok. It messes up 'wrong side' really well. The wheel is on the right (RHD) as appropriate in Australia, but the steering column controls are as on LHD vehicles...so annoying when used to RHD controls.
So...there is lots of incorrect use of indicators and turn signals as I switch between driving my wife's car and the Amarok...!
RHD ?
Your "correct" hand drive, OK
Now I know why the Pantera I sold to an AU customer PAID me to correct the "wheel/pedal" location.
A complaint, you GUYS always answer my E-mail LATE in the night.
I was the FIRST to provide MY IGN-1 coil to AU, selling over 500K over the years.
I hope you enjoy this site.
My first experience was the AU 302C cylinder head I installed on Panteras.
SMALLER intake ports/LARGE exhaust ports AND the same valves could be fitted.
I taught Richard Brundail (Motec) the importance of my 36-1 TW
That design made the best power!
