LS1 in a 32 Ford
#2
This site is new to me, but really looks OK, just have to get used to some of the stuff.
I am installing a 2002 Camaro LS1 with the 4L60E in my 32 Ford Cabroilet. Going OK. About to install the computer and hope to have it running in 3 months or so. The rear rubber will be 265-50-20---30.4 diameter and will use 3.50 gears. Weight 2,500#.
Also may have another 32 with the LS1-2-6 with the T56 Tranny. Problem the shifter lever will be too far back. Does any one know if there is a bracket the will fit on top of the T56 and allow the shifter to be moved forward about 12 inches. Need some help on this problem

Good lord. LS1 in a 32 ford?! Don't show that to the ford guys!
Welcome aboard
To answer your question, I think so. I think they need them in the RX-7 swaps. where to get them, I have no idea
But welcome aboard!

Very, very nice! Welcome! I too do not have an answer, but if the RX7 swaps require this, you can check out www.hinsonsupercars.com. They do LSx/RX7 swaps and may be able to steer you in the right direction.

I know that Street and Performance has a method of moving the stick in all directions but I am not sure if it can go 12 inches. I am doing 98 Camaro LS1 in 32 Ford Sport Coupe. Using Unisteer manual rack and pinion so no power steering required and don't want to spend $2000 for billet brackets etc, for air and alternator mounts. any ideas?
