Default Newb

Just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Chris, I live in AZ and I drive a 98 Firebird 3.8 5spd (don't laugh). I am a member on other fbody sites such as fbody.com ls2.com azfba.com etc. I have found that LS2.com is mainly good only for the general forums, its a great place to kill some time and have some laughs, but not a whole lot of technical info there.

I am not new to Fbodies at all, I am on my 4th one, not bad for 19

Previous Fbods include: 86 Z28 (my baby) This was my favorite car by far that I have had, my dad and I put a mild 350 in it, it was a 5spd, luckily I never had any tranny problems, granny shifting rocks lol. Had 3.73s in the back...Unfortunately I wrecked this car, I was partially to blame for the accident, my lack of experience had a little bit to do with it, but it was the brakes locking up that sent me off the cliff.

Next: 90 Iroc L98/Auto, not a bad car, but it was pretty rough when I bought it, altough its one of the rarer 3rd gens, it really wasn't worth keeping around too long.

Current cars: 78 TA, nothing but a primered rolling chassis right now, that I have been debating whether or not to build or sell...I'm leaning towards selling it, as nice as it would be to built another car, its not all the pheasible right now.

98 Firebird 3.8 5SPD, needed a reliable daily driver, its a good car, slow but good. Not really worth putting much money into, but so far I have done a couple small mods. Manual fan switch, dremeled the stock air lid, got rid of the air silencer, clear corners and thats about it. Going to get the windows tinted, some 3.73s and an LSD and maybe some new wheels, but other than that its pointless to put more money in it.

Sorry its so long, now you all know my Fbody history though.

Btw you can check out all my cars (except the 90 Iroc, never took pics of it) and other stuff on my website: http://camarochris.cheap2host.net

Thanks

Yes Fbodies are very addicting...I've toyed with the idea of picking up an LS1 shortblock, getting a nice set of heads and a nice cam etc. Just buy everything piece by piece, get a 6spd and a 12bolt, again all over a long period of time, and after I have accumulated everything I need, tear it apart and do the swap.

However before this can take place I need to find another decent daily driver, because if this ever happens it would not be a daily driver anymore.
