Default Newbie

Just joined and thought I'd say Yo to all.

I have a Black 2000 WS6 but since I am currently working in Italy, it's on jack stands in Kansas. When I finish, I'll bring it over here and run with the Ferrari's.

I have installed a SLP lid, K&N filter, Granatelli maf, Mac headers, Ypipe, Flowmaster muff, Ported throttle body, Ripped out the AIR pump and hose mess. Retuned and 332rwhp. Oh and Nice new Michelin 245/45/17's that are smooth compared to the BF's that were on it.

As soon as the LS2 blocks are available, I want to go 4" stroke with the LS2 block. What head and cam package should I use? I want to stick with the stock 3.42 gears and want good driveability along with stock compression.
I already have a LS6 intake, and a heavier clutch for the swap.

I was thinking of LS6 heads with SLP's 013 cam. I heard that the stock 2002 LS6 cam is not enough for anything larger than 382ci's?

Thanks for any info.

David

Welcome man! I would post up all of your engine questions in the internal section and give a better explantion of the goals you have in mind that way you can get a better response. Good luck.

Get rid of that flowmaster muffler! Those things flow terribly! Install something like my magnaflow and you should see another 5-10 RWHP!

If you are sticking with 3.42's (not sure why though..even with 4.10's your gas milage will not change that much if you have a M6 http://www.f-body.org/gears/ go there and you will see how the speed won't change that much). But if you decide to, you will want a cam with good low-end and not something like the LS6 cam. I would post this in the engine place as they will be able to answer this, but go there with more specific questions, especially if you plan to bore yours out by 4.

I believe the LS2 uses basically the LS6 cam, so I am not sure. I would stay away from SLP H/C stuff though. MTI makes some sweet head/cam stuff!

Welcome aboard dude!!!
