Hi, I'm from England too. Just looking here for ideas, such as putting the LS1 in a TVR Tuscan race car, instead of Blackpools AJP v8.

I didn't click on the video, but reading the posts, I'm guessing it's Top Gear's drag race with the C6, 996 Carrera, NSX 3.2 and TVR T350C.

I see you all mention that the C6 is 20k cheaper than the others, well due to this place being called Treasure Island, the C6 is £52,000 over here- what's that, about $90-95,000! The TVR iirc is £38,500, the NSX is £59,000 and the 996 is £56,000. As I have no broadband, and can't be fagged to download for 40 minutes, I'm not going to re-watch the vid, but didn't the Corvette come 2nd? (to the TVR).

For a basic spec one, the new 997 is £57,000, but that would be the base price, but apart from bigger wheels and brakes, i'm not entirely sure what options they have. The NSX comes as stock, fully specced, apart from the Type R which has a £10k premium.
