Oops... forgot to say hi, and intro myself.... :)
Hi, I'm new, even though I registered a little while ago... I'm a seasoned veteran at CZ28.com and LS1.com... but I was told that if you want to know something fast, this is the place to be.
I have a 98 Z28. The only slightly major engine mods I haven't done, are LS6 intake, and underdrive pulleys. The MAF only has the bar thingie removed, and is polished, the TB is only polished (not ported). But, I do have long tubes and full exhaust, and heads/cam... so I guess the majors are out of the way. After I tend to the intake side, and the pulleys, I'll hit the fuel system, I'm running my stock 28 lb. injectors with a Walbro (255 lph?) pump. The heads were done by Kings Racing out in Missouri, and the cam is a Comp .581/226/114. It's got a 3600 stall Midwest converter on it. Hmm... SS wheels... nothing too cool, it's pretty damn fast though. The only major future plans, after the other stuff is taken care of, are a totally stripped interior, an 6 point cage (atleast, maybe a 10), a 125-150 shot of N2O, or some type of, really loud, forced induction. I want it to sound like a Lear Jet when it takes off at the track.
I've blown the motor up in once, the tranny 3 times, and I've only blew out one tourque converter... Suprisingly, with 410 rwhp (yes, even with everything stock from the intake out, and no pulleys I mean, for the small cam I have ,that's good, I think.) and D.R.s on it for a short period of time, I haven't blew out the stock 10 bolt. (3:23s)<--next summer they'll be 3:73s
My cars and others can be found at www.98slp.cz28.com
The black SS belongs to someone that I don't speak to anymore... but.. that's a whole other story...
Anyways... this is an awesome site, and I hope to be of help to someone someday. Thanks!!
Jimi
