Default New LS1 owner checking in

Just bought my 99 Trans Am yesterday. I love it! My previous car was a 96 3.8L Firebird. Had lots of fun in it but I always wanted more. Now I got the Trans Am that's starting a few tenths ahead of where I left off with the bird (best time in the bird was a 14.01 babying it thru the shifts). I'm definately not going the nitrous route with the Trans Am, in fact, I don't want to go too far with it at least for a while. I just wanna enjoy my leather, t-tops, and monster power.

Here's a few pics of my car if anyone's interrested:

The engine bay needs some cleaning. The previous owner was an older geeky lookin guy that I seriously doubt had ever put the pedal on the floor once. What's the easiest way to clean all that up??

Welcome! As for cleaning the engine bay,I spray the engine down to get it wet, then i spray some Simple Green whereever, let it sit for like 1 min and then hose it off. It does a decent job.

Welcome to the fold! Dig your 'bird...it looks IDENTICAL to mine with exception to the wheels.

I use Gunk engine brite (foamy version) on my engine. I spray it on sparingly, and I try to keep it off the electronics and any paint if at all possible. I allow it to set for five minutes, then I use a spray bottle of water to rinse it off.
