hello to all bowtie fans, just saying hi and looking forward to talking to everyone out there, right now im in the process of doing a ground up on my 71 chevy truck, been in it for a year now and should be done mid to late summer, its been lowered 6in all new tube control arms,qa1 coilovers in the back, shaved and smoothed body parts all over, roll cage going in late spring, paint should be on some time this year, the motor is an 1100hp sb 355 with an f-2 procharger, should be a fun ride, pics coming soon

Welcome! Sounds like a very nice truck. What color are you going to paint it? There are a few guys on here with 67-72 trucks. I'm getting ready to do a frame-off on my '72 Suburban. I haven't decided yet whether to do an LSX transplant or stay with a SBC (or maybe BBC).

im going with an all black,(deep black) all over, roll pan in the back, smoothed tale gate, im keeping the stock front bumper but smoothing of the bolts that hold it on, thin bar billet grill,7in glass cowl, no running lights, handles, drip molding (which was a bitch to take off and ill never do again) it has a 15gal. fuel cell now so the old filler neck has been smoothed over, this was a frame off so i boxed in the frame and put in a tube trans crossmember, front and mid engine plates added to hold the popcorn popper in the frame rails, ill be putting up a few pics soon
