new guy on the block Hi to everyone, I am building a 1950 Chev coupe drag car(big brick)and looking for diferent cegine combos for a 572 ci bbc.

what is your budget though? if you want extreme, some big chief heads, nasty solid roller, huge dominator and maybe a custom intake from Wilson Manifolds might be up your ally
but this forum as a whole really just looks over the ls1/2/6/7 small blocks, not really chevy first gen motors.
but anyways, welcome to the site man!

Well thanks for the responses. I have purchesed a merlin 3 after market block, a set of dart pro 1 alum heads and a 4 1/4" stroker kit, and I had a fairly large roller cam from the last engine,what I was looking for was ideas on carb and conv that kind of stuff.looking for some one that has a 572, to get an idea what to expect from it, only had a 496 befor. This car weights around 3500 lb andI am looking to run 1/4 mi around 9.60 maybe around 145 mph
