Default got me a LS1

Hi, my name is Kitty. I live in Florida and just got a 2001 Camaro with 23000 miles on it. It has a 6 spd tranny and already comes with a few mods.
Hope to meet some new people from the Tampa area.

Thank you all for the welcome!
My SS has Kooks headers, straight duals with an electric cut out, free mods, and is looking for a blower. I added smooth bellows and descreened the maf. Put on Nittos and am currently researching the interior engine mods. I say researching because I had no idea that modding a car was so expensive. It looks like a step by step process. I like to work on my own car but I had an LT1 and it's a whole new ball game!
I went to Bradenton Motorsports Park and after about a kazillon trys finally got a timeslip of 13.01 in the quarter. Boy! those guys get pissed when you leave your airconditioner on! They said I need a helmet now.
I've found some really good sites thru this board and am continuing my LS1 education. I figure that at this rate it will be fully modded in about 100,000 miles

impressive, the blower will be alot but well worth it! there is a guy here w/a maxed out vortech blower, w/an ls6 cam making 630rwhp!! i say a shifter (Pro 5.0, with a lou's short stick) and a cam, depending on how fast you want to go, you could go mid - low 11's w/a decent cam with what you have now, just start saving for a rear end once you get there!

Wink

It came with the short stick, TA gridle?,lower control arms and brackets. I'm gonna put sub frame connectors on it cause it's a t-top.
Talked to a guy at the Plant City Car show tonight and he gave me a number for Allens in Largo for gears. Someone else told me about a tuner in this area, it was tuned in Texas a year ago. Cams are a kind of mystery to me, I see so many different ones out there I do know that if I put a blower on it, that I will have to make some other changes. The list is so long...gears, blower, cam, Mcleod clutch or Centerforce, Baer brakes, Koni or Bilistien ? AHHHH! As it is I'm looking for a part time job just to get it put together some, I hate loosing the great milage it gets.
On the old Camaro site there was a guy named Hanibal, He has really put a lot of time into his car and gave me some good ideas. he also suggested Arizona speed and MTI. I'll just take it slow and steady, I just hope I live long enough to complete it
