Yo my name is duane i live in southeastern PA. I just bought a 1994 25th anniversary edition trans am. Its in pretty good condition, some minor cracks and chips in the paint but nothing major. The engine and everything else is stock. Im planning on getting the heads ported and a different cam put in with comp cams pro magnum 1.6:1 rocker arms, new pushrods, comp "R" lifters, new head gaskets, a new timing chain and other things i basically have $3500 to blow on my engine and i want to know what is the best way to spend that money and get maximum performance. Dad wont allow nos so scratch that so i am open for sugestions. ohh yea and my friend has a stock ls1 and he brags how he can stomp me all the time so id like to smoke him once or twice!!!

Welcome. I'm planning on getting an LT1 as well sometime in the next few weeks. A modded LT1 will definitely take a stock LS1, especially from a dig. The LS1 has better higher RPM power but nothing beats an LT1 off the line.
Check out the LT1 forum here for lots of good info.

Yo, long time no see. I'll post some pics of your car on here tomorrow, anyways good luck finding info on the head/cam swap. I've heard good things about Lloyd elliot, and Advanced Induction, soo you might want to look into them. First, you might want to look into some suspension pieces first, to get the power to the ground; things like subframe connectors, Lower control arms (+ relocation brackets), other than that look into a higher stall convertor and also a tune from pcmforless or MadZ28. Anything I'm forgeting about guys? Head over towards the LT1/LT4 section when you get a chance.Check out our sponsers on the side ------------------->
Anyways, Im going to sleep, I'll cya tomorrow
