Talking 01 T/A 1/8 mile times

Just wanted to say that I'm thrilled to be a T/A owner. I have a Red 2001 Trans Am Ram-Air WS-6. What a beauty. It's completely stock and I've taken it to the track twice. I've only ran 1/8 mile times since the 1/4 mile track has been closed in my area. My best time so far has been 8.995, 2.186 60ft @ 85.39 mph. Also, have to mention that I beat a 2005 Mustang GT that was supercharged. The Mustang was nice (I must admit). We raced twice, he got me the first time when I pulled the 8.995, but the second race I beat him. I ran a 9.012 @ 85.55 mph, he ran a quicker 8.741 @ 85.55 mph, but I stuck it to him on the tree. He had to have been upset, after paying all that money for his new ride and get beat by a T/A. Ponies can run, but birds can FLY!

He said that he just had it dynoed and it was putting out 440 rwhp. He was running 295/35/18 Goodyear Street slicks on the back, and 255/40/18 Nittos on the front. He wasn't hooking up well, that car should have been running much quicker times.

Wednesday nights you can go to Sunshine Speedway off of Ulmerton Rd, Thursday nights are at Lakeland Motorsports Park. The times that I posted were at Lakeland though.

Yeah, the rain has been a killer lately. Make sure that you get out there early on Weds, the track gets pretty busy. I only got in 3 runs last time.
