Default Noob with a twist - working on a '37 Studebaker Coupe Express LS1

Hi gang,

I've been an fbody guy for over 20 years. I've owned a '68 Firebird coupe, a '68 Firebird converible and a '73 Firebird coupe. My 19 year old son currently owns a '94 camaro.

My latest project is a '37 Studebaker Coupe Express pickup. I would like to put a complete LS1 drive line under it; engine, 6 speed, electronics, and front and rear suspensions. I've been digging around looking for a salvage car to buy and I'm also trying to learn as much as I can about these great engines and cars.

Everyone I've talked to so far has been really great. I'm looking forward to spending alot of time here. Once I finally get the parts I'm looking for I'm sure I'll have a ton more questions for everyone.

Until Later,

Thor

Here's a link you might get some good info from for the rest of the truck (not LS1). Post pics of yours in the C/H section. Have fun!

Default Frizzle Fry - That's Jeff Rice's Truck

Frizzle Fry,

The yellow '37 in the webshots you linked is Jeff Rice's truck out of Florida. Jeff and I have exchanged a number of emails and I'll be leaning on him for tech support on the truck.

Jeff is good guy. He's a stude nut and he's interested in hot rods as well.

Thanks for thinking of me.
