Newbie from Michigan Hey guys, I'm not new to cars, but fairly new to Domestics, yes i own an import. I own a 90 240SX and i am currently parting out my old motor setup. I'm going to be putting a LS1 in the car hopefully in the near future (I need tq and reliable hp!!). I have come to the darkside.

Welcome to the site Well you got a car that will be half right, the LS1 half that is.

Glad to have you at the site. Check out the specific areas since there are others that have taken and put a LS1 in another type of car, possible someone that did a 240 sx as well.

Jake, what motor you got in that 240sx currently? SR20DET with a few supporting mods? Or did you boost the KA24E?
I had a 1972 240z with a SR20DET swapped in, 2300lb car with 252whp @ 15psi. Nothing super crazy, but it'd keep up with an unsuspecting Corvette owner. They'd usually put the hurt on my just a bit over a 100mph though haha... fun times.
LS1 in a S13 chassis would be sweet. We had a guy on another board who put in a basic 350 into a S13 and all the Nissan guys gave him crap. I wonder why... but it was cool.
Can't wait to see yours done... should be damn quick.

Currenlty i have no motor, lol. i had a SR20DET then i blew it. I had a blitz turbo kit rated for 500whp. yeah the other 240 guys don't like the swap. it throws off the weight distribution a ton according to them. even though its only 20lbs heavier...

So move the battery to the back... viola... back to equal weight distribution.... sometimes people just can't think. 
Of course, I'm sure the purists would tell you even if you move the batter to the hatch it'll still be off... no matter what. V8s don't belong in a 240sx!!! ...unless it's a VH45DE.

nice plan, that car should be sick, and even with a mild cam it would be a low 12 second car if it was set up right..
are you going to be going with an A4 to back up that LS1 or a 6 speed? if you plan on doing a lot of drag racing id suggest the A4...stalls rule
