Ha! I don't even think he's in the ball park!!!His post was SO out-of-context!
Anyhow, we have the 411 Dragway in Seymour (It's only a 1/8 mi. track, but it's close). And, the Knoxville Dragway, which is actually in Maynardville. Those are the closest ones.

Oh I know about the local tracks... I was just wondering if any of you WENT there... I'm usually there hanging out with the Mustang crowd... Robert & Gene Hindman, Shane Williams, Gabe Large, etc...

I also live in Knoxville but I'm not a girl. Anyway, I used to be into Mustangs myself but was drawn to GM quite simply because of the 3rd Gen. engine family. I still appreciate Mustangs and usually attend a couple of FFW events a year. I'm sure you have been on High Performance Toys at some time, right? Theres quite a few local GM guys on there. Again, welcome aboard!

despite what you have seen so far, this board is normally pretty calm and good about stuff, the moderators do a good job of keeping that crap in line
As far as converting...I went from a 96 Trans Am to a 95 Mustang, to a 95 Trans Am, to a 03 Mustang which I traded for my current 02 T/A. Here's my take on why I came back...
I had a white 03 Mustang GT...at any given time I could drive to Wal-Mart from my house (bout 2 miles) and see 5 late model Mustang GT's, 2 of which were white. Not ONE of them would EVER wave, nod, or even acknowledge the existance of another Mustang, even the modded GT's. I'd pull next to GT's at a stoplight, wave and get nothing. On the other side, I can't drive past a late model Trans Am or Z28 without getting a wave from them. I also only see another V8 F-body every other day or so even when driving 30 minutes to and back from work in heavy traffic. I like the fact that I have a car that every other person in the world doesn't have, and it just seems like theres a lot more community there and a lot less teenage idiots with an attitude in the F-body world, although I'm sure thats just my opinion.
