Default New guy here ! SoCal

Sup all ! Just aquire a 67' camaro rs/ss as a project car . I'm planning to go with a LS1 w/ 6-speed . It will be first for me and it will take me a while especially since I want to work on the body first. I'm already looking for stuff, I came across a 89 Iroc rear end w/ posi and disc brakes for $285. Is this a good rear end for this setup ?

I look forward to posting here and getting advice, so if anyone is doing this or has done let me know . And if you live Cali even better !

Hey from So. Cal., Sounds like a great project you have. I'm doing the same to my 2nd gen Firebird, been quite a learming experience. Should be running by summer. Can't wait! Sounds like a good price for the rear end, You'll need to weld on spring perches for your 1st gen, should be strong enough unless you are gonna drag race often.
Good luck with your projeect. Oh yeah, Welcome!
