Okay guys and girls, as of now I can go buy a 6-speed LT1 camaro but if I wait a couple months I can afford a auto (to hard to find a M6) LS1 T/A or Camaro. What do yall think I should do? LT1 now or LS1 later? Camaro or T/A?

If you can wait, wait for the LS1, I've never owned an LT1 but from what I've heard on the boards the LS1 has more potential. As for the Camaro or Trans Am, it all depends on what you want. I wanted a Camaro so that's what I bought. But if I had it to do over, I would spring for the auto, M6 in the city becomes a PITA, I don't care if it's second nature or not, bumper to bumper traffic sucks. That's just my two cents though, just pick one and roll with it. Either choice is good.

Wait a little longer and find an M6 LS1, It's worth it. They are so much fun when you get out on an open road.

I've owned both an LT1 and LS1, both nice engines. I prefer the LS series. I owned an LT1 for 2 years and loved it the whole time, I just feel that the LS1 has more potential. Both of them were A4's, which I personally like the best but some people prefer M6's, just according to what you like. I'd personally wait for the LS1 but you won't dislike the LT1 if you go that route. Both of my cars were TA's which I also personally like better than Camaro's but the Camaro's are great cars too, again personal opinion. You won't be disappointed which ever way you go, this is just my opinion. Good luck on the decision.

Auto's perfome well at the track with a converter. They are even faster mod for mod once they have the right converter. You can find used LS1 f-bodies for $5K & under in great shape if you look hard enough.
