Really? what were some of the issues, i dont like the rearend specifically actually any of the car at all but specifically that. probably because i've never liked any of the old 70's and 60's mustangs either. but i'm for surely not impressed with the engines, i realize this gen. of mustangs is probably geared more toward the female population, but i have a 99 and can pull pretty hard on a new GT, that's 7 years of R&D come on ford. lol

they have electrical problems in the charging system and the gauges mostly. and the driveshafts were causing vibrations. leather cracking on the seats, etc. they 05's just imo not aimed for our genre.

your right they aren't, like i said geared toward the 16 yr. old female population and guys in midlife crisis' that don't know **** about cars. but on a serious note, i know they had those changable guage colors is that contributing to that issue?

I myself, am a reformed 5.0 guy. I never had one in the 11's, but had several clean 'vert's and coupes than ran pretty well. When I acquired my SS a year ago, I found what I'd been missing!

Along the lines of the "new" Mustang, I heard of some issues with the new drive-by-wire throttle bodies. A friend has one, and Ford can't figure out what it's doing. He's had it in several times, and still having probs.

I can relate...I just sold my '02 GT 'vert that was pretty badass looking, but it just didn't go. Now I am pleased to have a badass looking car that goes! 1999 SS M6 with 11K miles will be here Friday! I can't sleep

we see eye to eye on the new mustangs. yea those changable gauge colors where contributing to some of the problems. i saw two clusters actually just qiut working completely. since they are sent out for repair and not actually done at the dealership i couldn't really tell you the exact cause.

i saw other ford cars having the drive by wire problem but not the new mustang. i'm sure they are having that problem, i just didn't get a chance to see it.

Welcome I cant say im an ex 5.0 guy since i still love them, but since ive tested or ran like every damn intake, head, cam combo on a small ford i was wanting something new.........and since as you said Ford has not had anything since the fox that impressed me, hello LS1. Oh yeah and i have noticed how much nicer the F-body crowd is compared to the "mustang crowd(99 and up cars)" They can be real dicks.
