Default NEWB here

hi everyone, im tired of the import B.S.!! I like all cars that are fast so don't flame to bad. I have decided i want to get a 98-00 SS, so i figured i might learn some stuff b4 getting one. I am NOT a ricer, so lets not go there, you can see my current car in my sig. Any and all help is much appreciated. I'll be lurking around the forum. later

Welcome...you won't look back! 98-00 came with an LS1 intake with doesn't flow as well as an LS6 (01-02) when future mods are a factor everyone will tell u this just thought i'd be the first. Now is a very good time to pick on up for a good price. I would advise you to get either a 99 or 00 as the PCM in 98 was different than 99-02 and the knock sensors were more sensitive as i have just learned. Good luck!

Welcome, you'll love the domestic scene and the power of a 5.7 liter V8.

I'm an ex importer myself and now I can't image how anyone would spend money on one.

i'm in the same boat as you. Current/possible former Honda owner debating the idea of buying a 98+ Camaro.
