Default Five Long Years!...

Well after selling my very nice 1998 black T/A back in the fall of 2000, I can finally say hello again!...I had no idea that it would take this long to be able to buy myself another toy again but on April 1st I finally got another T/A...She's pewter metallic with 106,000!...A slight change from my '98 that was only a year old and 7800 miles!...*lol*...But she's been running pretty good so far...Has a few small almost unoticable dents on the passenger side rear fender (or is it quarter panel?)...And we found out the driver side door was repainted for some reason that I probably do not want to know!...*LOL*...But they did a good job with the paint and at least saved the door jam stickers with the factory options...It drives very smooth and straight though!...And the interior is in very nice shape for the mileage...Overall the car is very nice for the price...At only $8,000 I could not resist because I just could not find anything around here for less than 10K...I found her on Ebay and, with the help of my friends, drove out to Michigan to pick it up and drive it home...I did have a SES light come on but it drove fine...Took it to AutoZone to check the code...It was O2 sensors giving the code...The kid must have cleared the code because the SES light was not on after I left...And even better she passed emissions and the light has not come on since...It seems pretty much loaded with the options that my '98 did not have with lumbar seats and traction control...I really could care less about those...But it does have two options that I love and will save a poor guy like me some money until I get it paid off!...*lol*...Those options are the chrome wheels and 3.23 gears!...My '98 never performed quite as well as I hoped it would and I always suspected the 2.73's were holding it back and mostly to blame...It did turn a best of 13.0 with Direct Flo lid, Whisper cat-back and Super Yank 3500 converter on a very cold October day...I can't wait to test out this car at the track soon...Hopefully the high mileage will not become a problem with this car but I really could not afford to go too high on the payments right now...I just got the airlid and had the cat-back put on last night by my buddies...This Friday if all goes well she's going in for rear end, tranny, and coolant flushes along with new plugs and wires...Hopefully, this will be enough to get it running good for a while because I've spent enough on the taxes and tune ups!...*lol*...Sorry for the long post but I'm definitely excited about my new (old) T/A!...The Dodge Avenger just couldn't replace the LS1 for some reason!...*LOL*...Take care guys!...

Thanks guys!...It's great to be back!...They may not be the fastest car on the road but I absolutely love these cars!...Even though this one needs a lot more TLC than my last, I think I like it even more because of the long wait...I just hope the tranny lasts for a while...*lol*...
