thought i would just throw in the fact that i drive an import... maybe start a little "i hate you imports" in my own thread...

btw its a 95 supra turbo without a transmission (which is why im here because i need a tranny that will hold my power, and a toyo tranny will not get the job done)

If you need tech advise on a GM tranny, look up jakeshoe on nastyZ28.com, he is an expert on GM automatics.

This a VERY productive forum. One of the best on the net. Sorry you are not getting the feedback you need for your tranny.

I sent you a PM on a tranny builder. Not a sponsor so I won't mention him here.

Good luck

well i got my trans from a reputable builder here in Elk Grove Village, IL... and i ended up going with an import converter on an SFI flexplate... now onto a carbon fiber drive shaft and 4.08 rear end... left out the names of the companies because none of them are forum sponsors

my little import will be going 9s this year... hopefully nothing breaks

i truly do appreciate the help i was given... i just wish the community helped me out a bit more then it did... im just not used to things around here, supraforums is a very different community from the domestic boards

I'm new and trying to understand the rules here. So, you can't mention names publicly unless it's a sponsor's name?

What about helping a fellow member?

Sponsors come first. They are the reason this board exists. I am pretty sure you can mentions another vendors name, but trying to steer people to them in the open forums is not held in high regard.

When in doubt, ask a Moderator.

Came to an LSx forum because i run a GM tranny... my supra is using a TH400 rev pattern with hipster brake

Dont remember why i said that... i actually have come to love this forum... i do alot of reading and pull alot of stuff i learn over here into the import world... once again sorry about that. i was expecting quick answers when i was in the middle of my th400 swap. I actually ended up getting all the answers i needed from here... just took a while

Domestic guys have been making high power for much longer than imports, and as i see it, we can learn alot

does it really matter whether you drive an import or a domestic as long as you build a fast *** car?

EDIT:
heres my thread from back in oct 2006 thanking this forum for helping me
